Our Clients
Our clients range in size from 500+ bed teaching hospitals to smaller community hospitals. Some are part of a larger hospital system, others independent facilities. Some have physicians who are totally independent from the hospital, others closed staffs.
What they all have in common is a commitment to changing patient flow to improve the quality of care they deliver and concurrently increase patient, physician, nurse and other staff satisfaction. Before we begin an implementation engagement with a client we ask that client to make three important commitments that are critical to success:
1) The hospital CEO and senior clinical and administrative management fully support the project team in its efforts to improve patient flow. Without strong support from the top, we find that the implementation may encounter difficulties when the status quo is challenged.
2) The hospital designates a project champion who will assume responsibility for the implementation and will be held accountable for its success. We strongly recommend that the project champion be someone who is well respected within the organization and who will be able to effectively lead a major organizational reengineering project.
3) The hospital provides the needed information technology resources to ensure a timely response to data requests. Waiting for data can be an important factor in delaying the timely completion of the implementation and in attaining results.
The Operating Room and Emergency Department are almost always central components of our hospital engagements. Depending on the client, we also get involved in patient flow issues related to the Cardiac Catheterization Department, Maternity Department, Outpatient Clinics and other areas where major patient flow issues exist.
Should your organization become seriously interested in our services, we will encourage you to talk with surgeons, anesthesiologists, ER physicians, nurses and administrators at our clients to understand how they have been able to solve patient flow issues with our assistance.
